Help Parks Update Fairgrounds' Master Plan
Colorado Springs, Jan. 2, 2007 - El Paso County Parks and Leisure Services is
asking for citizen input to update the Master Plan for the El Paso County
Fairgrounds.
Citizens can assist Parks by taking a survey, which can be downloaded or
completed online at
www.elpasoco.com/parks or at the County Fair website
www.elpasocountyfair.com.
Paper surveys are available at the County Fairgrounds, 366 10th Street in
Calhan, at numerous Calhan businesses or by calling 520-7880. Completed surveys
are due by Feb.1, 2007.
The survey is the first step to update the Master Plan for the El Paso County
Fairgrounds. This updated Master Plan will include proposed upgrades to existing
facilities and the addition of new facilities. The long-term goal is to convert
the El Paso County Fairgrounds into a regional park facility that will host a
variety of year-round events and activities.
